Is there a daily maximum using my debit card?

The debit card does have daily limits set for our member’s protection.

Using your debit card at and ATM for cash is capped at $500.00 per day (24-hour period). Using your debit card for purchases online or at a store the amount is capped at $2,000.00 per day, whether using a pin or a signature.

Can I change the PIN number for my debit card?

Image of E&G EFCU Debit CardYes! When you may change your PIN number at any time at one of our three (3) ATMs, located at our branches, or by calling (800) 466-0040 and following the prompts for PIN number change.

Please note, when calling you will need the 16 digit security code that is printed on the mailer that was sent with your PIN. We are unable to see your PIN or the 16 digit security code on our system.

Please record you PIN in a safe place and never keep it with your card and DO NOT share it with others.

If you don’t remember the PIN you selected for your debit card or don’t have the original 16 digit security code, you may contact us at (914) 946-6200 and we will have a PIN mailer mailed to the address on file with use.

Please allow 3-5 business days for your PIN mailer to arrive.

Can I select a PIN number I choose?

Yes! When you activate your new debit card you will have an opportunity to select any 4-digit number of your choosing as your PIN number.

You also may also change your PIN number at any time at one of our three (3) ATMs located at our branches or by calling (800) 466-0040 and following the prompts for PIN number change.

What if my debit card is broken or defective?

If your debit card is defective or broken we can order you a new debit card right away. We will need the following to get that new card ordered:

  1. You call us at (914) 946-6200 or email us at [email protected] to request for a duplicate card to replace your broken or defective card.
  2. There is a no charge for a duplicate card to replace a defective or broken card.

Please allow 7-10 business days for your new card to arrive.

What if I suspect debit card fraud on my account?

If suspect your debit card has been compromised, you should contact card services immediately at (800)466-0040 anytime 24/7.  They will immediately freeze that card from any further use. Then you will need to call us during business hours at (914) 946-6200 so we can order you a new debit card right away. We will need the following to get that new card ordered:

  1. Submit a signed note to us stating your card has been compromised and you are requesting a new card. This can be dropped in person, faxed to us (914) 946-2910 or scanned and sent to us via e-mail [email protected] .
  2. In the case of suspected fraudulent activity, we also will need you to complete a card holder dispute form, highlighting the fraudulent activity to be investigated

There is a no charge for replacement of your debit card as long as the compromised card is returned to us.

What do I do if I lose MasterCard® debit card?

If you have lost your debit card you should contact card services immediately at (800) 466-0040 anytime 24/7.  They will immediately freeze that card from any further use. Then you will need to call us during business hours at (914) 946-6200 so we can order you a new debit card right away. We will need the following to get that new card ordered:

  1. Submit a signed note to us stating your card has been lost or stolen and you are requesting a new card. This can be dropped in person, faxed to us (914) 946-2910 or scanned and sent to us via e-mail [email protected] .
  2. There is a $10 charge for replacement of a lost or stolen debit card.

Please allow 7-10 business days for your new card to arrive.

How can I add a MasterCard® debit card to my account?

To add a debit card, you will need to have a checking account with us. You can access your savings also using the debit card at an ATM but checking is required to link a debit card to our account.
